I received a piece of good news. One of my abstract paintings has been accepted for the National Midwest Abstract Show hosted by the Southside Art League of Indianapolis. It is titled Falling 2 and is one of the paintings I did earlier this year while my husband was going through the Provenge vaccine program. If you remember it was very traumatic for us and I was fighting uncertainties and fear. This is the second painting from that series that’s been accepted for a juried show. I guess it helps to let our feelings show. It is very hard for me to do but I can get release through my paintings.

  3. Congratulations Linda, what an honor! I agree with you completely! I feel emotion plays a HUGE part in how we paint. Your colors are very vibrant and I can also feel the paintings emotions as well. Nice job!!

  4. Wonderful, Linda. Oh yes. you connect with the sacred when you are painting. Creation. Very healing.

First of all, congratulations, once again, for your achievements.
Second? I love this painting vertical. I see a figure in this, droop shouldered and with a hint of a bowed head. It makes all the difference to the viewing of it. Definitely a male figure set aglow amongst all that darkness. Takes one breath away when seen.

Congratulations. Amazing that a painting you painted in such a difficult time creates an image that, for me, looks so full of strength and light (hope). I love it,

  7. congrats! I really like the colors, very vital. *___*

    • Color is really my primary interest and also lets me have FUN when I paint. When I started painting in 2007, I did a series of 7 abstracts on Yupo that were done using only primary colors. I really enjoyed the experience.

Congratulations, Linda! I love everything you did during that emotional time. You deserve this honor!

Congratulations!!!! I see a head held high emerging from a wall of energy. But more importantly, the color and light is so strong, particularly in the vertical setting.
