It is 18 degrees with a wind chill of 6 degrees. Boy do I long for Spring…oh my! It’s here. In tribute I decided to start painting my 2013 ATC (Artist Trading Card) collection to send to my family at Christmas. I bought a bouquet of orange tulips at the grocery this week so I used three tulips from the bunch. Does anything say Spring more than flowers?

Remember that ATC’s are only 2 1/2 inckes by 3 1/2 inches. My photos really magnify the imperfections and give a splotchy look. This looks much better in person.

They are projecting 2-4″ of snow on Sunday. Very late for Indiana but it seems we always have horrible weather during March Madness (college baskerball tournaments).
Yes they do. I am watching tulip leaves standing tall in the cold. At some point there will appear the colored treasure from their green midst.
I planted many different types of Spring bulbs but it was years ago and many have died out. I am hoping to rejevenate my beds this years…all those beautiful flowers to paint!

Absolutely! I am thinking about planting spnach and lettuce next week – a sure sign of Spring!
Lovely tulips, Linda. I too like to buy flowers at the grocery. I usually only spend $5 but get a nice, long lasting bouquet for my counter. How do you like our current snowstorm? I don’t. LOL
Luckily I don’t have to go out today. It won’t last long but I AM READY FOR SPRING!
