Ken had another appointment today and I am becoming good at picking up a magazine and selecting an image to sketch. This little guy was in a recent copy of Real Simple magazine. I couldn’t find out what he was but isn’t he cute? He was bright yellow with just a hint of orange around his beige beak.

Says Who?

Thanks for stopping by my blog…because now I have a new one to admire! Your work is *lovely*…I know I’ll enjoy the history and personal stories you attach to each piece, too.

  2. I like this! Why is he blue? Is your sketchbook blue? You should draw him in red and yellow too. 🙂

    • My sketchbook is just a cleap white one. When I photography it outside early in the morning it always looks blue and in this case I left it alone because I thought it was fun. maybe he’s a blue bird?

Looks like he is saying, “Here’s lookin’ at cha!” Cool bird portrait, Linda.

excellent sketch. Hope Ken is doing better.

Thank you Carol. Ken had three good weeks and then a bad one last week. He seems to feel better now. We are learning alot about pain management!

He is so cute! Sketching is such fun, especially if you are trying to pass the time.

I am always glad to have my sketchbook with me. A person can only read the same magazines so many times as you sit in a doctors waiting room…

Love it! I wonder if he’s a type of cockatiel? Time well spent anyway.
