This drawing was loads of fun to do! Once again I was working on composition but I was also trying to push my drawing skils.  It was subtly inspired by the book I just read about Georgia O’Keefe. Even with that inspiration I tried to leave the elements rather undefined…are those eggs or rocks?…is that a bone or a weathered piece of wood? I want the viewer to decide.

I encourage you to continue with these drawings. This one compels me to spend time moving about in its space.

I very much like the inclusion of testure in this composition, Linda.

I really like these O’Keefe inspired pieces. The detail is beautifully done.

  7. yeah. this is definitely other worldly. cool. yeah, textures are way fun to work on with graphite. and then it’s fun to incorporate textural stuff into your paintings. i particularly like that lower egg shape but the entire drawing works. cool.

This is fascinating. Great texture. Love O’Keefe as well!
