This drawing was loads of fun to do! Once again I was working on composition but I was also trying to push my drawing skils. It was subtly inspired by the book I just read about Georgia O’Keefe. Even with that inspiration I tried to leave the elements rather undefined…are those eggs or rocks?…is that a bone or a weathered piece of wood? I want the viewer to decide.

Oooh. I like this.
Thank you Ruth. It was very free flowing!
Love it. So mysterious.
I left it sort of undefined. I want the viewer to think about possibilities. (including ME!)
I encourage you to continue with these drawings. This one compels me to spend time moving about in its space.
Thank you Chris. I wish I could find more time and energy than I seem to have right now!
I very much like the inclusion of testure in this composition, Linda.
Thanks Leslie. I am finding some interesting and different ways to create texture. That’s what makes it fun – I’m always learning!
That’s texture, not testure. sorry 😦
Very interesting and very nice!
Thank you…it is fun to just let it happen.
I really like these O’Keefe inspired pieces. The detail is beautifully done.
yeah. this is definitely other worldly. cool. yeah, textures are way fun to work on with graphite. and then it’s fun to incorporate textural stuff into your paintings. i particularly like that lower egg shape but the entire drawing works. cool.
This is fascinating. Great texture. Love O’Keefe as well!
