Crazy busy day yesterday! I found out yesterday morning that my grandson’s deployment to Afghanistan has been moved up to June 15th, so my daughter asked me if I could research flights and travel to Germany so she and Alex’s new wife can visit him before he leaves for a year. That’s done and now we are waiting to hear if he will be able to spend time with them if they go over. The unanswered questions are making everyone crazy.
An odd occurrance – shortly before I heard from my daughter I had just finished a little watercolor. I sprayed water, dropped paint and alcohol and named the painting Fire in the Firmament. I hope this isn’t a premonition.
I hope it’s not a premonition, either. I really like this. I see the entryway to a forest with a sliver of light on the other side. Beautiful, Linda.
Just a note…Alex and Emily, his new wife, really enjoyed Bam Bam. I don’t know if BB is in Germany protecting Alex or here in Indiana protecting Emily but I wanted to thank you for the great idea!
No premonitions with gloom, please. It does look like fire, but let’s think of it as the fire in your belly, when you are creating. 🙂
Yup, you are right…no gloom and doom here! Alex loves what he is doing. He was originally scheduled to enter a more “elite” branch of the military and he chose to change to the infantry. I think the acceleration in timing just freaked us a little. And the gloomy, stormy weather here in Indiana is a bummer! Bring on the sunshine…
Beautiful colors, Linda! I love it. I’ll be praying for Alex and the girls. It’s got to be a little nervous having a grandson going into harm’s way like that.
Blessings, Cindy
I will remember you and your grandson in my prayers – this must be so hard
i keep stopping to look at this… great color choices… fun but very dramatic too
Darren, thank you for letting me know. It makes me feel really motivated when I know I have created something that is meaningful to others.
