Now, as I move on to my “greenly reaching trees”, I want to thank all of you who have provided friendship, positive thoughts and support over the last few months. I feel blessed by your kindness. For me this has also been a period of growth. I feel like many of my paintings were created by a spirit flowing through me. Now that we are in a watch and wait mode I thought you might enjoy seeing my first and last paintings.
What a change ocurred over the next three months.
I’m sure this will not be my last painting inspired by cancer but Ken and I are now grateful for a pause so we can relax, rejuvenate and enjoy the summer for a few weeks.

We never know in advance how we will grow when we venture, either by choice or by circumstance, down an unexplored path of life. What a remarkable transition from first to last. It has been a journey for me, too, watching you grow. Thank you.
This three month period has been so challenging and painting has been a welcome release and an opportunity to think about something other than cancer. Thank your for your kind words. As with your situation this is only one step in the journey.
What a remarkable journey – for you AND your works of art!
Thank you Harriett. When I look back, I am amazed at how many paintings I created and at hpw much they evolved over just three months.
Wow, Linda. Night and day.
My first painting is so hard. I’m glad I found a gentler, rolling style.
The paintings say it all. What a phenomenal process you have been through!
Thanks for all your ideas, interpretations and support. Every reply you post makes me look more closely!
What an incredible difference between the two. The starkness of the first is so strikingly different from the flowing depths of the last.
I am really happy I found a style that allowed me to express so many of my emotions. I hope I dig deep enough to continue with my own style.
Linda, your paintings have been nothing short of an inspiration to me. The energy in your work tells its own story. I think of you and yours often even though we are so far away. Always in our thoughts.
Thank you Keith. I appreciate your kind thoughts so much.
You’ve been on such a journey, Linda, in all senses of the word. What growth your art has seen as evidenced by those two works. How wonderful that your art has been a place to channel your feelings and an outlet for you during a difficult time. Enjoy the summer and all the small joys it offers!
Wow Linda! I hadn’t looked at your blog for ages and was amazed at the wonderful art your journey has inspired. I would be hard pressed to decide which piece speaks to me the most. Blessings to you & to your husband, we’ve traveled the cancer road too and are in year two of remission. I hope that the vaccines do exactly as they are supposed to.
